Bezal (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the bezal.ai platform. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Account Information: When you create an account or claim a business, we collect your name, email address, and business details (name, category, address, phone number).

Business Profile Data: Information you provide to build your business profile, including services offered, hours of operation, photos, and service areas.

Usage Data: How you interact with the platform — pages visited, features used, and actions taken. This helps us improve the product.

Communication Data: Messages between you and your AI team (Jewel and other agents), email drafts, and correspondence facilitated through the platform.

Payment Information: Billing details processed through Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers directly — Stripe handles all payment data securely.

Third-Party Integrations: When you connect services like Google Gmail, we access only the data necessary to provide the features you've enabled (e.g., sending emails on your behalf). We request the minimum scopes required.

• To operate and improve the Bezal platform
• To provide AI-powered business management features (drafting emails, generating briefs, managing leads)
• To make your business discoverable to consumers and AI search agents
• To send transactional emails (lead notifications, verification, daily briefs)
• To process payments through Stripe
• To generate anonymized, aggregate market insights (e.g., average pricing in a category)

When you connect your Google account, we access only the scopes you authorize. We use Google data solely to provide the features you've enabled within Bezal (such as sending emails through your Gmail account). We do not sell, share, or use Google user data for advertising. We do not retain Google data beyond what is necessary to provide the service. Our use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these cases:

• With your permission: When you authorize third-party integrations
• Service providers: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (application hosting), Resend (email delivery) — only as needed to operate the platform
• Aggregate data: Anonymized market data may be shared through our API and content (e.g., “the average plumber in Hartford charges $X/hour”). This never identifies individual businesses or users.
• Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect rights and safety

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and secure authentication. Business data is isolated — one business owner cannot access another's private information.

• Access: Request a copy of your data at any time
• Update: Edit your profile and business information directly in the platform
• Delete: Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us
• Opt out: Unsubscribe from non-essential emails via the link in any email

We retain your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized aggregate data may be retained indefinitely.

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Bezal is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age.

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
