About Stella Blues For over 16 years, Stella Blues has been New Haven’s unpretentious home for live music, cold drinks, and community connection. Rooted in the improvisational spirit of the Grateful Dead, Stella has long served as a launchpad for rising jam bands and genre-bending artists—hosting early performances from now-national acts like Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Goose, Twiddle, Baked Shrimp and more. Live music fills the room six nights a week.
