The Cioffi Tradition In 1958 Carmen and Antonietta Cioffi moved to the United States from Naples, Italy. They worked hard for many years, and opened a pizzeria in 1963 at 986 Stuyvesant Avenue in Union, New Jersey. Their daughter, Maddalena was born in 1956 and son, Carmen in 1962. The family worked long hours at the pizzeria establishing a loyal following that continues today. In 1966 another son, Joseph, was born and the family could only dream of what was to come.
