About Us What started with a challenge to recover dining room seat cushions about 10 years ago became a hobby nurtured by skill enhancing videos and then following some training with a master upholsterer into this small business. And we are small. Chairman Upholstery is a one-man operation, working on one piece at a time. It’s just me, myself and I re-covering or re-upholstering your well-loved pieces into something that will be loved again for many decades.
