Chad Osterberg began his career in design, landscaping, and property maintenance as a high schooler in Fairfield, Connecticut. After helping out a local landscaper by cutting lawns part-time, Chad bought a lawnmower at a tag sale for $20 and launched his own business. In the early 2000s, he began offering his clients planting, garden care, and design services.
