About Us UNCLE GUSSY’S TRADITIONAL GREEK FOOD TRUCK Gussy opened his first food cart in 1971 on 51st Street and Park Avenue, in the heart of Manhattan. It quickly gained popularity, introducing New Yorkers to its generous portions of authentic Greek cuisine. Family matriarch Katerina, along with her sons Nicko and Franky, expanded the small family business to include Hellenic food. The vending cart evolved into a portable restaurant as well as a reputable, globally recognized Greek food brand.
