About Us Architectural Door Corp was founded in 2006 by Gary Zacchia. Gary, a Fairfield native, spent two years in accounting after graduating from Fairfield University. However, he decided to open the Garage Door Center in 2004 in Fairfield. The Garage Door Center capitalized on the custom door market in lower Fairfield County. After struggling to find reliable door suppliers, Gary formed Architectural Door Corp in 2006. They began producing custom wood garage doors for builders and homeowners.
