About Us Sisters and long time educators, Claire Smith and Hannah Harper , founded Austin Play Garden in 2014. The idea to open a school for the Austin community came from their experiences in child care, public schools and working with families in general. They believe that early childhood is the most important time developmentally in a person’s life.
